What Are the Benefits of Becoming a Preferred Customer with a Major Lubricant Company?

A lot of people ask me whether becoming a Preferred Customer is actually worth it.

My answer is yes, for the right person.

I’m Ken Smith, a certified AMSOIL independent dealer, and I usually recommend the Preferred Customer route to people who want to use the products themselves and get the best value without stepping into the dealer side.

The biggest benefits are pretty clear.

First, you get better pricing.

If you already know you want premium synthetic lubricants for your vehicles, trucks, motorcycles, powersports machines, or equipment, paying less than retail makes sense.

Second, it gives you easier access to products you will likely keep using.

A lot of people who try AMSOIL start with one vehicle and then come back for everything else they own, trucks, motorcycles, boats, side-by-sides, generators, and more. I have seen that pattern over and over. Once people see the value, they usually do not want to go back to guessing at the parts store shelf.

Third, it gives you a more consistent maintenance setup.

Instead of buying whatever happens to be available locally, you can order the right products for your specific applications and stay ahead on maintenance with more confidence.

Fourth, it gives you access to support when you work with the right dealer. This is one area people often overlook. A Preferred Customer account by itself is helpful, but having someone guide you on what to order and why makes the whole experience better.

That is a big part of how I work.

When someone joins through me, they are not left on their own. I help them understand what they need, how the products fit their vehicles or equipment, and how to avoid wasting money on the wrong choices.

In my opinion, the Preferred Customer route is best for someone who wants great products, better pricing, and a simpler way to maintain what they own. It is not about hype. It is about making smarter long-term maintenance decisions.
